When Prakash and Smita Hegde came to the U.S. from India, they assumed they would each pursue their own careers. He was a software consultant and she was in homeopathic medicine, and they were settling into their lives in Cerritos, California. But then, something better came along.
The Hegdes were presented with an opportunity to start their own business, and they knew right away that it was a great opportunity. It was a business that allowed them to help people, stay out of a cubicle, and make some money. They especially liked that fact that they could work together as a team.
Learning to dream big, the Hegdes remained focused on their goals, building their business, becoming solid leaders and confident entrepreneurs. Most importantly, their commitment and determination have set a great example for their children, Ronak and Sanya. Having their own business has allowed the Hegdes to be able to be full-time parents while maintaining the growth of their business on a flexible schedule.
As the Hegdes have achieved success in their business, they also give their time and energy to support worthwhile charities. They are especially active supporting Easter Seals and the U.S. Dream Academy in the Bay Area of California, due to the programs these organizations have developed to meet the needs of children and returning veterans. The Hegdes truly understand the value of helping others and have made it a priority in their lives.
In fact, Prakash and Smita know that in order to be successful, you have to focus on serving, developing and bringing out the best in the people around you. The Hedges truly believe that by helping other people achieve their dreams and goals that everyone succeeds together.
